Customers Problem:
A customer approached HDL as they had recently sold vacuum pumps to the middle east, but the lead times on the 400V 60Hz pumps were too long. They requested that HDL convert the European specification pump to work in the Middle East.
HDL’s Solution:
HDL purchased a 400V 60Hz motor, However, the motor and pump wouldn’t mate, so HDL designed and manufactured adapter plates to allow the two to come together.
Next the driveshafts needed to meet. HDL created an adapter and used a broaching tool to machine a keyway to allow the adaptor to connect to the motor shaft.
