Hollingworth Design Ltd (HDL) are a Stockport based Engineering company. Operating out of a new 12,000 sq. ft unit, HDL have a strong engineering competency, particularly in mechanical, design, electrical, pneumatics, software and process engineering.
We offer a range of engineering products and services to customers including compressed air and vacuum systems, to contract CNC, design and hydrogen consultancy.

History
The company was formed in 2005 by Managing Director Paul Hollingworth as a design consultancy. Since then, the company has grown in the scale and scope of products and services we offer. We now have over 20 employees and provide products and services to a range of industries.
Key People
Managing Director
Paul studied Mechanical Engineering at UMIST, before working in the Medical Gases industry for 5 years as a Design Engineer. In 2005 Paul set up Hollingworth Design Ltd, providing a design consultancy and CAD services to industry. Paul’s entrepreneurial vision and keen engineering knowledge has allowed HDL to flourish, growing to its present size and scope. Paul has responsibility for the operation of the company and takes a particular interest in the development of new products.
General Manager
Kris studied Physics, Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Manchester. He then worked within the hydrogen industry for 14 years at ITM Power PLC, and is one of the UK’s leading experts in hydrogen technology. He has skills in chemistry, electro-chemistry, process engineering, PLC programming, H&S and project management He has worked for HDL for 2 years as general manager. His responsibilities include sales, H&S, testing of products and introduction of management systems.
Production Manager
Tom studied Management and has been part of the HDL team for 8 years, where he has worked in a variety of roles. His present responsibilities include Production Manager, and leadership of the Manifold and Electrical departments.
Sales & Marketing Manager
Hollingworth Design welcomes Richard Binks as Sales & Marketing Manager.
Richard has a strong 30-year background in the metal work industry and joined HDL as Sales & Marketing Manager in Summer 2020. He is based at our Stockport manufacturing facility and his role involves the promotion of HDL’s products and services, managing our social media outlets and branding.
